The Classic

PCILite is available in three 'flavors': The Classic, The Variant and The Plus. All 'flavors' of PCILite are complaint with the 'PCI Local Bus Specification, Revision 2.3'.

The Classic is an Easy-to-Use PCI BUS Interface that provides an Intel like microprocessor back-end interface with simple read, write and chip-select signals. The duration of these signals is software programmable. The Classic connects to peripherals through user address and data busses. Additional user definable pins which can act as either inputs or outputs or can be programmed to be chip-selects are also provided. The Classic is available in an 8, 16 or 32 bit version.

The smallest package/footprint for The Classic is a 100 pin TQFP package with dimensions of only 16mm x 16mm.
