Developers at Final Fantasy face issues related to Xbox 360 port
Square Enix, as component of the recent E3, uncovered that the Final Fantasy XIII game will soon be seen coming out of Xbox 360. This news has spread and created a lot of flutter among the fans of PS3. In a recent disclosure, the developers with Square Enix assured the fans of PS3 that the firm is not favoring some other console over something else. He also gave them the assurance that PS3 version of the game is not going to suffer because of Xbox 360 port.
The Final Fantasy XIII is, indeed, the most commonly anticipated games in this present generation. The game has been sold in a large number in the last 21 years. However, the franchise that brought about this selling has been a play station for mostly 14 years now.
Owing to the great fame of the game, the fans of this PS3 were greatly disappointed with the Square Enix’s announcement of releasing the latest version on Xbox 360. Many fans even thought that this may affect the output of this game because of the developers of the game serving them the lowest denominator.
Developers from other sources like Id Software have also given in their word saying that that they too anticipate big difference in the output of this game between Rage on PS3 and on Xbox 360 because of the format, Blu-ray.
The series producer of the Final Fantasy game, Kitase, also revealed in one of his interviews that the fans of the game need not worry thinking that the scope of the game will be reduced on both the consoles. He further clarified that this PS3 version is still under development and the developers are working on enhancing and specializing the PS3 version to synchronize it with the complete abilities of PS3. He further adds that once this is complete, the team will work on optimizing the version to the specific hardware device. And the team will also take care of Xbox 360 port. He confirms to the fans that any of these activities will not reduce the working and the capability of the game on any of the two platforms.
From what Kitase explained in his press conference, their decision to design Xbox 360 port for the Final Fantasy XIII game was made when the development of this PS3 version of the game had neared completion. However, the truth remains for the latter half of the year to be unfolded.
